We’re busy making the last minute preparations for the Welwyn Drama Festival! Backstage crew get-in on Sunday afternoon, first performances Monday evening!

The programme of plays for 2015 has been announced – 14 plays over 6 nights, 5 New Plays and some old favourites – which night will you choose?

Thank you so much for entering a play into the Welwyn Drama Festival this year. Our play readers are currently reading all the plays. They aim to meet together in a few weeks to draw up an entertaining programme, based on your availabilities and the plays submitted.  To provide our audience with a full and entertaining week we still need a couple more entries, so if you know of any other teams who may be interested, please let them, or me, know.

I will be in touch towards the end of March to confirm that your play has been accepted and to check that your team can still make the date proposed.

The scripts will then be sent to the adjudicator, and you will receive a technical pack requesting staging information, such as sound and lighting, as well as any special requirements, special effects etc.

We also require some information for marketing purposes that may be used on the website, social media and in printed publicity materials, as well as in the printed programme. This includes a brief description of your play, some team information, and a photo or two.
